• This is my first attempt at WordPress, having previously built basic html/css/php/mysqli sites using templates. I’m struggling with the items below, and hoped someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

    Slideshow
    The above template has a slideshow on the homepage. I’ve tried to set a slideshow up, but to no success – it’s simply showing as a white space. The actions I’ve taken so far are:

    * Appearance -> WP00902 Settings -> General Settings -> Featured Slideshow
    –> Display Slideshow On -> Homepage Only
    –> Album Name = Runners

    * Slideshows -> New Album = Runners

    * Slideshows -> Add new -> Insert Media into page

    I hope this makes sense, as difficult to explain something I’m not too sure of myself!

    I’m also looking to edit the text height – page headers in particular are huge, and look a little out of place. I’d also like to change the font to a more basic one – we’re including items from another site on the pages and I;d like all the text to match (arial).

    My first thought was to try the CSS file, but I can’t see anything there that controls font type or size. I do however note that in the editor, there is a theme-data.php which contains a list of many fonts and font sizes – is it simply a case of deleting the fonts/sizes I don’t want?

    Any advice much appreciated.

  • Do you have a demo we can look at?

    It says here that you could contact 4templates about any issues regarding themes and templates.

    Thanks for the response – I’ve contacted 4templates, and two weeks later, little sign of the issue being resolved – will keep trying though!

    If I post a link here, will the search engines pick it up? Don’t want the first result in a search engine being to me trying to resolve problems!

    Many thanks.

    Sorted, I think! Was told the photo size was too big & to change it to a maximum size of 2000px. Have done so, and while the photo doesn’t look as sharp as I’d like, it’s a step forward.

    Many thanks.
