4600+ files (22.9MB!) appeared in wp-statistics dir

  • Hello,

    I’ve been using the plugin for more than a year, currently v12.3.5 (so it is up-to-date). Yesterday – out of a sudden and WITHIN 1 MINUTE! – 4600+ files (22.9MB in all) appeared in the wp-statistics directory.

    Files called like:
    8ea45bde1b13ac538218c173ed7490288744193d60e7e6763582a3e625188c39ce0ca005840dc25f246266928152e0033ec7c8cad41cd4e89986cd503bdb07

    Is it bug or a feature? Can I get rid of them? Can I prevent happening it again? This number of files is extreme, I would not like to store them in any way.
