• After updating to WP 4.5.2 the website displays the following error at the top of the page:

“Warning: mysql_num_fields(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/XYXYXYYX/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 3026”

    what to do?

  • I too am having this exact same issue. Searching elsewhere on google yielded other pages who’ve had this issue over time but no resolution information.

It appears the page load times for this user are also much longer.

Logged in users do not see the error either.

    edit to add link.

Correct – no error for logged in users

    Update. Disable “W3 Total Cache”.

The error went away and came back when I turned it back on. Adding a tag for the W3 Total Cache folks, I’m not sure if rnse is running that plugin, but it was definitely a producer for this issue for me.

yes – we are running the W3 Total Cache plugin as well, and deactivating it solved the problem.

Thank you – now we just need W3 to solve the problem on their side so we can run the plugin again

Hey @barron-barnett, have you managed to find a solution for this? I am facing the same issue and I really don’t know what to do.

The blog in question where the error occurred still has W3TotalCache disabled. I haven’t tried reenabling it recently.
