4.2.4 update, now missing content

  • Since the 4.2.4 update this morning, my default template is blank, so are most of my pages and my forms. I did have almost the entire website completed and now I only have a home page. BTW, the home page was not using the default template

  • One more case: our custom theme just disappeared after automatic update to 4.2.4. The content looks intact. If find more issues will report.

    I also lost content and functionality on my site after the 4.2.4 update. My free and subscription content is not viewable though you can click the sliders and posts they go to blank content.

    My homepage is messed up as well. The “featured article” at the top is misaligned and the last ten featured articles is missing. My site is live and I can not figure out how to fix this.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    seems 4.2.4 was not tested enough. This is crazy to release an upgrade and say “apply immediately”… it has some major bugs; I reported one… which just messed my whole site. It was automatic upgrade. Still no reply from the support. That’s just crazy and really bad for the image wordpress.

    I have spent all day trying to find the fix for this issue and it seems we are not the only ones having the problems with this update. I am going to wait it out till the morning and hopefully it will be fixed by then.

    I have also submitted a wordpress support ticket with no response yet, but seeing as there are about 17k reports in front of me, I doubt I will hear anything from them anytime soon.

    I think they know something is broken. My site has been live for over a month now and I get 12k hits a day and growing. This is a bad time for things to be broken especially since it wasn’t me that broke them. I truely hope they get things fixed by tommorrow.

    After update, if I try to login to wp-admin, it takes me to /install.php
