  • Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the tickets plugin. I will try to help you get this sorted.

Are you using the built in “Tribe Commerce” option for PayPal?

Do you have your IPN settings set up on PayPal and directed at your site?

You can read about configuring this here: https://support.theeventscalendar.com/560364-Configuring-Tribe-Commerce-with-PayPal

Finally, do you see the same thing if temporarily switching to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disabling all other plugins?

    Thanks,
    Sky

Hi, thanks so much for your reply.

Yes to all of the above.

I’m using Tribe Commerce as shipped with the plugin – no other payment gateways.
IPN is set up as per the Primer and instructions.
Same issue occurs even when switching to Twenty Nineteen theme.

I’ve also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin.

It *feels* like it’s not communicating with PayPal the way it should do, or that there’s some sort of broken link in the forwarding command. Is it possible to uninstall and completely strip out all the saved data for the plugin, or restarting the initial install wizard?

    Best.

Hi Sky – Any suggestions on how to do a complete uninstall on the plugin and all it’s data so I can try going through the setup process again? Or any other suggestions on how to get this working?

    Best wishes,

    Tim

    Hi again,

There is not a way to automatically delete all of our plugin data. You would need to do this manually. All of our plugin options will start with “tribe”.

However, this is not likely to fix your issue. Without being able to see your website or your actual settings, I’m not sure what the issue could be. There’s really only one setting being used to generate the PayPal url, and that is the PayPal account email. The rest of the settings would be handled on the PayPal side of things, but this is for being able to send a payment notification back to your site once the transaction completes.

Are you able to test this when not in “coming soon” mode? Do you see the same results then?

    Thanks,
    Sky
