I am trying to do the settings on the plugin. When I click the save changes tab, it brings me to a 412 error page with the following message.
Any help would be great, as it looks a great plugin.
    Thanks

  • Do you have any security plugins running? What happens if you deactivate them?

I have two, Bruteprotect and wordfence. I deactivated them, when I read your post, tried it again, but still get the 412 error.

I wonder is it security settings in my hosting, as it says on the last line, If you are the owner of the website, you can consider revising the rules of the mod_security module or turning it off from your Web Hosting Control Panel.

But why would your plugin be the only plugin I have this problem with.

I think you’re probably right about the mod_security settings, given deactivating the other two plugins didn’t help

To be honest, I’ve never heard of this problem before. Is there a particular panel / setting that triggers the error?

Looks like its host. I use two hosting companies, I tried the settings of the plugin on a test site on my second hosting company and there was no problem.
Still problem showing with the first hosting, so its either hosting or some plugin I have on my site that is in conflict with the event plugin.

But at this stage I would put my money on the security settings on the hosting. (this will be fun trying to sort this)

For your own information, and in case someone else runs into the problem, the problem was caused by the ModSecurity module on my hosting.
My hosting company disabled it and now the plugin settings are working perfect.

Thanks for updating, that’ll probably help someone else. Glad you got it fixed.

A quick update, if anyone is worried about disabling the ModSecurity module,on their hosting, do not worry.
You need to turn it off when you are doing changes to the plugin settings. Once you have the settings changed, you can switch back on the ModSecurity module.
The plugin works perfect with it on, its only the settings that are affected.
