4.1-beta – Activating theme does not show the theme as Active instantly
-
Just downloaded wordpress-4.1-beta1
Fresh install of this, just core, nothing else.General feedback:
1) Instantly shows one update needed – fresh download should not ask instantaneously for update (Akismet in this case)
2) Activating a new theme via/wp-admin/themes.php does not show the activated theme as Active theme ?unless the page is refreshed once or more.
3) The meaning of HEADER image is lost if Only applied to the sidebar on wide screens – this is what Twenty Fifteen *forcefully* does. What if I want a true header on wide or just standard screens ? Let the option be there for me/admin to choose.
4) Distraction free writing should show only a white screen and nothing else – no buttons – just one blinking cursor for title and another for body
5) When you want to write a Haiku and press enter to reach the next line an extra empty line appears – admitted it is fault of the inbuilt editor, and shift+enter can solve the problem BUT why that extra shift has to be pressed? I do not do that when I type in my pc – it distracts to press an extra shift just to reach the next line without any space
