409 Conflict for contact page

    Hi!

    I’m using ahrefs to update my SEO, I’m getting a 409 error for my contact page. I’m not sure what that means or how to fix it.

    Here are the details from ahrefs:

    Yes, thank you for reminding me.

    So, hosting providers usually block crawlers on contact pages to protect websites from endless spam that could come in. That includes ahref’s crawler, so ahrefs shows a 409 error because they’re unable to see the page.

    What I wasn’t able to get an answer to is if that affects my SEO. I asked both my hosting provider and Level 1 support at ahrefs. No answer, I got bounced back and forth between the support departments until I decided it wasn’t worth my time.

    I assume that since most websites will have the same error, it will not significantly affect SEO, but I could be wrong.
