Fresh WP install, latest version, no other plugins activated, etc.

When I try to save settings for this plugin I get a 406 error:

Error 406 - Not Acceptable: Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.

Disabling ModSecurity on the server solves the issue. But…why do I need to disable ModSecurity for this plugin to work? I’ve never had to do that for any other plugin in the last 10+ years. I’m hosting with InMotion.

Is there a way to allow what this plugin needs without disabling ModSecurity altogether?

Thanks for reaching out Kenny. You definitely shouldn’t need to disable ModSecurity to use our plugin. Nor would we recommend that.

This isn’t an issue we’ve run into before. Is InMotion Hosting able to provide any more details on what’s triggering the error? Or would your website’s error logs provide any more information? Once we have more details we should be able to replicate the issue and get a fix in place.

Let me know what else we can do to help. I hope you had a nice weekend.

Thanks for the response. Error logs didn’t have anything, so I tried turning ModSecurity back on and re-activating the plugin to generate some errors in the log. But, of course, this time it worked without an error. I tried it a couple of times. Sooo… thanks anyway for being willing to check into this! If it happens again and I can nail it down with more info, I’ll send it over to y’all.

Thanks for the plugin and your time!
