406 error: It returns!

Hi all,

My wordpress blog is hosted by a friend on her server space, and has been since July 2010.

For around two months now, I have not been able to post entries to my blog – as soon as I type more than appx 15 words or try to include a photo I get the 406 error message(even uploading a photo or editing html causes the site to short out).

I’ve read message threads on here but they all seem to be quite old, but I sent them to my friend who tried everyone’s recommendations to no avail.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to combat this for the most recent version of software?

I have been able to update from my ipad, but I would really like to be able to update from my laptop again!
