404 when static page location in URL

Hi,

I have a static page at domain.com/council which gives information about a particular organisation. I then have a custom type of meetings which gives details about the meetings of this council.

I would like the category listings page of meetings to appear at domain.com/council/meetings and then the individual meeting pages to appear at domain.com/council/meetings/<title>.

Setting this up in Types however I get a 404 if I include the location of the static page (domain.com/council) in the custom url format field.

If I change the location of the static page to domain.com/the-council then domain.com/council/meetings/<title> will work but that’s not really what I want. I want to create a logical and consistent URL structure.

Am I missing something obvious?
