• I have just started using the Google Publisher plugin, however when I save my settings for the ads it returns the following error:

Unable to apply changes to your site.
Sorry we were unable to save your configuration. The request to your server failed with error code 404.

Any advice? I have been unable to find anyone with the same issue.

    Bump

I have the same issue – not been able to find a resolution yet. Tried with multiple sites, installs etc… On some installs, when saving changes I get the error “Sorry we were unable to save your configuration. The request to your server returned an unexpected result. This may be due to an incompatible theme or plugin.”

When I get the unexpected result error (not 404); I find the following error in the debug/log in the browser: Blocked a frame with origin “https://mysite.com” from accessing a frame with origin “https://publisherplugin.google.com”. The frame requesting access has a protocol of “http”, the frame being accessed has a protocol of “about”. Protocols must match.

I have the same problem. Whenever I try to do “Save & activate” I get the following message:

“Unable to apply changes to your site

Sorry we were unable to save your configuration. The request to your server failed with error code 404″.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all very much for downloading the plugin and providing feedback. The WordPress community has helped Google to improve the plugin and make it compatible with more websites and themes.
