I have some trouble with understanding the 404s tab. It shows a lot of urls of pages and posts, but when I click on one of the urls, it shows up just fine, no message that the page of post could not be found.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It shows URLs that, at the time of recording, were returning a 404. It does not guarantee they are 404s at the time you open them.

That was quick ?? Okay, I understand. It seems that I can then ignore the hundreds of pages then, because after checking a few of them, most still work okay.

By the way, does the plugin have an option to redirect (older) urls to a specific page or the homepage, in case they have no redirection created by your plugin?

What do you mean by older URLs? You can create a redirect for any URL you want.

I mean urls before I began using this plugin. Those are urls that were not monitored by the plugin for changes. For instance the site has lots of old urls with variables in the url, like ?region=amsterdam. These can not be redirected to a specific page, but since there are lots of them, these could be redirected to the home. I know there are other plugins that can do this, but maybe the Redirection plugin can do this also? I don’t want two plugins to conflict.

If they cannot be redirected to a specific page then I would either leave them as 404s, or return a 410. Redirecting to the home page is generally not a good solution.
