A 404 is not a redirect, and the URL does not change on a 404 page. If you redirect a URL that should return a 404 to another URL then you have changed it into a redirect, not a 404.

    So….no? ??

Thank for replying and for a great plugin.

Your question was whether you can have a 404 go to another page. No, you cannot as by definition a 404 cannot change location. This is how browsers work, not the plugin.

If you want to change a 404 into a redirect then yes you can, by creating a redirect. It will no longer be a 404 and instead will be a 301 redirect.

If what you meant is ‘can I redirect all 404s’ then I would advise you not to do that. It’s not how invalid pages are supposed to work.
