Hi I have a self hosted wordpress website but my wordpress.com blog is still running.

I had domain mapping since day 1 when I registered with wordpress.com.

I tried to publish a post on my wordpress.com blog, it shows up on wordpress.com reader straight away. However when I tried to open the post to read the full article, it redirected to my self hosted website and indicated that “oops, the post you tried to find does not exist”.

I have searched many discussions on the forum but I can’t find anything that can help me.

I changed the permalink on my www.remarpro.com website , it did not work either.

One thing though, if I import and export the XML file into my www.remarpro.com website, the link then would work. If I create a new post in wordpress.com and then expect for it to be redirected to my self hosted website, the post cannot be found.

Hope my post make sense. Please help!

Well, your domain is pointed to your self-hosted blog, and your WordPress.com blog is redirecting to it.

If you want the post to appear on your self-hosted blog, you need to publish it there, not on your WordPress.com blog.

If you want to turn off the redirect, you can do that by changing the primary domain via Store -> Domains in the WordPress.com blog’s Dashboard.
