• Hi,

Can anyone suggest whether doing a complete reinstall would be a good idea?

I have previously got multisite working fine on a new install of WP. I have tried to convert a different single blog to multisite and just get 404s when I click on the link in the email that says that the site has been successfully set up.

I realise something must be different, but I appear to have done exactly what I did for the first, working set up. I have changed wp-config, and htaccess. I have added the * sub-domain in cpanel.

Is there anything I am missing?

    Thanks.

If you have nothing to lose, you may as well try the re-install.

A 404 error implies that your .htaccess isn’t being read. Is the 404 from your main wordpress site, or from the server? (They look very different in style)
