Hello, I already wrote here, but the Moderator asked me to write here.

I created a new WordPress theme from scratch for this client.
After few days google search console started to send notifications of 404 errors for some attachment urls, such as:
    /zmyslowy/
    /masaz-kaszmirski-big/
    etc.

Those links give 404. Of course I can turn on the redirect in SEO -> Search Engines -> Media, to make the attachments sitemap disappear. But this would be a workaround, not a fix.

I need help to find where those attachments are defined. Why there are such links with such names.

Another information. I went to wp-admin -> Media -> Library and I search for the images.
I managed to find for example this image.
That image, if I click on it in the Library, and I click on “show attachment link”, it goes to this link, which is the attachment link that gives 404.

How is that possible that an image exists and its link gives 404?

If I choose some other images from the library and I click the attachment URL, they work fine, such as this one.

Please help me to find the root cause of this problem, and to find out why Yoast SEO thinkgs there are such attachments.

    Thanks

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.

Please provide the answers to the following:

    • Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    • Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    • Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    • Does the issue occur with the current 5.3.2 version of WordPress?
    • Does the issue occur with the current 13.3 version of Yoast SEO?
    • Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?

If you find a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a?new GitHub issue?for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can?purchase Yoast SEO Premium?and receive our premium email support so we can help you further.
