    Hi guys,

I’ve created a temporary holding site for a client in a local dev environment. We have procedure in our studio when promoting and so have never run into promotion issues like this.

The installation and build of the temp site is complete on dev and runs perfect. The promotion across FTP and of the DB went without a hitch. Once we upload a live DB we run our script to change the development domain URLs to the live domain URLs. With this script:- interconnectit.com/124/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

So the code has had no change, the DB has URLs amended but nothing else.

I have custom permalinks set to ‘/%category%/%postname%/’ and the home page is set to a static page. I can navigate to this page by manually putting in the URL but cannot see it as homepage. I simply get a 404.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to how I can put this correct I feel like I’ve triple checked everything and haven’t got an answer. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks
