• Everything was working fine up until yesterday or so. Now when I try to write a new post or comment on it, I get

“Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

When I do just “test” it works, but anything even a little longer then that just goes to not found. Error logs show nothing. And some members are still able to post.

    For example to post
“Thanks Karol! When I have more time I’m going to create a more detailed script and go into further analysis. Maybe one host at a time.

I’m personally going to be working on analyzing the php config’s on all of these hosts to see if I can develop some kind of “best practices” list for T35 to use.”

I had to go into phpmyadmin and manually insert the post into the DB.

I can’t seem to figure it out. Could it be certain words that are making it crash? Any ideas?

  • Try to be clearer in your description. Posts (posting) and comments (commenting) are two very different things.

    Which one is the problem?

I just made a comment without any issue:

I’m actually having problems with both. I had to manually insert the text into sql for both the recent post and recent comment.

Could it be something specific to my admin account, because I agree, I can see some people are posting fine..

Can you try doing a comment with the text I have in quotes in my first post here? Because something like “test” works for me too.. it’s the longer things that don’t.

It doesn’t work with your text above.

What if you switch to another theme?

Same thing. I tried disabling the plugins too.

I just checked and my collation on the database is latin1, while it seems to be set to UTF-8 in wordpress. Could that be causing problems?

I tried changing options in wordpress to ‘latin1’ but it didn’t help anything.

No, not really – that might be character display issue in blogs that use non-ASCII characters.

Did you do anything yesterday before it stopped working?

I tried changing options in wordpress to ‘latin1’ but it didn’t help anything.

Monolingual people should never mess with things they don’t understand…

No I didn’t change anything before it stopped working. I’m not sure how the character set on the DB was set to latin1 while the settings in wordpress were set to UTF-8.

    Anything else I can try?
