I re-developed an existing website for a client using word-press on a local server, I installed wordpress on my hosting account for that domain name and pointed the DNS of the old website to my hosting account.
Now when I try to open the website or log in the wp-admin I get the following message:
    Not Found

The requested URL /Home.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    What Did I do wrong?

I installed wordpress on my hosting account for that domain name and pointed the DNS of the old website to my hosting account.

How long ago? It can take anything from 24 – 72 hours for DNS/nameserver records to fully propagate. Second, different networks will update at different times during this period. Your host can give you more info.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered

If you had any kind of rewrites (permalinks) setup you must disable .htaccess and reconfigure permalinks when it goes live.

It was done few hours ago, I guess I’m impatient and no this is a new installation of word press, I didn’t upload my own database or anything else yet on it.

    Hello,

You can check if your website is pointing to the right dns by checking it here: https://bit.ly/1woHogK

If its pointed correctly then check the ftp folder if all the wordpress file particularly the path to wordpress should be public_html/wp-admin

Sometimes it happens that the wordpress is installed in some other folder while installing it with software such as softaculous.
