• Hi,

got it all running and fine, except…

I disabled the listing of custom post types:
    1. since I dont need those.
    2. since a 404 server error came up each time

Still in sitemap.xml the fourth option still shows and links to the custom post types and I cant get rid of it ??

    Setup:
    1. pure WP 3.9.2
    2. W3TC current
    3. yoast SEO
    4. your plugin

Please help on how to get rid of the fourth point for custom post types in sitemap.xml.

    Additional questions:
    A. What should I look for with W3TC?
    B. How do I configure W3TC to also cache sitemap.xml? Right now its excluded.

    TIA
    m.

  • I fear you are still seeing a cached version for some reason. Can you share a link? Or open the sitemap and hit Ctrl+U to see the XML source. Look for any W3TC timestamp at the end…

    All is ok now.

From my experience it is different:
    1. I refreshed all Caches all the time
    2. Despite 1. I still had the “wrong” xml

Conclusion: Apparently it took time until the plugin applied the changed options and refreshed the page internally. Be it scheduled on purpose or plain “blocked” by something else.

Still it works and is cool, so thank you ??

It might have been your browsers cache that was showing you an old version… Remember to clear that one too ??

How did you configure W3TC to exclude the sitemap from being cached?
