    Hello

    The wordfence plugin used to block the 404 error pages but now it has stopped blocking them. Please help me regarding this.

    Hi @madhumita1188, thanks for getting in touch.

    Wordfence doesn’t block 404 Page Not Found by default, as this would action a block every time a legitimate user attempted to access a mistyped URL or a broken link on your site.

    You can manually enforce visits to specific pages/paths that don’t exist if you notice a pattern commonly tried by bots at Wordfence > All Options > Firewall Options > Advanced Firewall Options > Immediately block IPs that access these URLs

    Please note that the above rule will block everybody (including yourself) if visited, though.

    Hello

    I understand your point..I have done the things in that way only but the thing is that if I disable the rate limiting option and keep the wordfence in learning mode then the .htm extensions are getting executed instead of the rules made in the firewall section. What should be done to get rid of the same. The verified bing bots are also generating 404 pages due to .htm extensions
