    Hi @smartzes,

I wasn’t able to locate any events at https://torreciudad.org/eventos/. Can you please publish an event and share the URL to it here?

Also, it looks like the WP Optimize plugin might be active. Please check and apply the steps in our Knowledgebase article, clear your site and browser caches, and recheck if the issue persists.

    Thank you,
    Erica

    Hello,
Sorry, I couldn’t try it before.

I did all you say with WP Optimize configurations and still having the same problem.

As you say, you can’t see any events, but I have one published and actived to be showed on the list. It isn’t showing and when I open it on the front-office, the page shows a 404 error.

    Thanks,
    Sergio

    Hi @smartzes,

Since you’re using WPML, check out the following articles and make sure to follow them:

If the issue persists, it would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

Having the same problem. Tested everything on a local server and all worked brilliantly, As soon as I installed the plugin on my clients server and wordpress installation I hit the dreaded 404 errors. Tried all the suggested fixes nothing solves the problem. PHP version 8.1

    Hello @tomhorsley,

    Thanks for your reply.

For me to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the status of the following in Events>>Troubleshooting?

    1. Custom Tables Migration Status
    2. Custom Tables Health Check

Please do not share the rest of the system information, this is for us to follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

We’re excited to hear back from you.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you, have not been well.

The info you asked for is here:

    Hi @tomhorsley

    Thanks for your response.

It appears you have not fully migrated your events to the New Events Data System. Would it be possible for you to set up a staging version of your live site and try to re-do the migration from there? This is to recreate the proper event data and should fix the 404 issues.

Here are the steps to revert and re-do the migration:

    1. Update to the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro.
    2. Remove any un-needed draft events and empty the Trash.
    3. Activate only our plugins and use the 2020 theme.
    4. Make sure server-side caching is disabled temporarily while you’re migrating your events.
    5. Install and activate the Code Snippets plugin.
    6. Add this snippet and run it once (be sure it does not stay activated).
    7. Go to Events > Settings > Upgrades and go through the migration process again.

Please re-do the migration on your staging site.

Let me know how it goes.

I haven’t done ANY migration. All I did was try to install the plugin – exactly the same way I did on my local test site that is hosted through Xampp on my PC and that works just fine. The question I have is why haven’t those tables been created, and why when I uninstall and reinstall the plugin doesn’t it create the tables it needs? This just looks like bugs in the plugin and starts me thinking about looking for some other plugin to handle event management.

I shouldn’t be having to add snippets it, should work when I install it.

Okay, have done all this and the plugin now seems to work. May I suggest that you make it clearer that even though you have no events you still need to run the migration.

    Hi @tomhorsley

If you had previously installed V5 on your website and later updated it to V6, please note that you will need to migrate your events even if you do not have any events. This is because the migration process not only includes events but also includes migrating settings and database tables. It is therefore necessary to perform the migration to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

I apologize for any confusion caused by my previous reply regarding the migration process.

Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
