404 if no trailing slash included in address bar
-
I’ve recently had a problem pointed out to me whereby if you try to access a URL pointed via this plugin, a 404 error is encountered if the trailing slash is omitted in the address bar.
While this isn’t a problem for links within the site itself which are always done correctly, any vanity URLs we set up for use in printed adverts have the risk of users failing to include the trailing slash and the link not working, eg:
https://www.thecraftshows.co.uk/CHISummerStonor
vs
https://www.thecraftshows.co.uk/CHISummerStonor/https://www.thecraftshows.co.uk/henley-on-thames
vs
https://www.thecraftshows.co.uk/henley-on-thames/I’ve tried force appending a trailing slash via .htaccess but this doesn’t resolve the issue. Is anyone else having the same problem?
