404 header on self-defined rewrite rules

    i’ve setup the iimage gallery and recent-links plugin and define 3 rewrite rules in my .htaccess before the wordpress ones. ([L] at the end). whenever i run my rewrite pages throught the validator everything renders fine except that wordpress throwse out an 404 http header comming fomr /includes/functions.php. it seems it looks for the url that doesn’t actually exist. if edit functions.php from 404 to 200 it works, but that’s rather bad i guess.
