404 for some posts, not for others

    I’m having an issue with my custom permalinks and I’m not quite sure what the consistent problem is. I’m using the permalink structure /%postname%/

    When creating a post, certain permalinks 404 and simply changing a single letter of the permalink will resolve it. I’m not quite sure why this is happening. I don’t believe I have any other posts, pages, or categories that share the same name of the permalink I’m trying to use.

    Any ideas or guidelines as to what might cause WordPress to have problems with a specific permalink?
