    Hello @abidhasan112,

after the latest update to v2.0.8 every single content page generated by this plugin caused a 404.

After we re-saved the permalink settings of WordPress (without having changed anything) everything worked fine again. So we currently don’t have any malfunction of the plugin you could investigate. Just wanted to let you know that this behaviour took place exactly in the following way:

    1. Update of your plugin
    2. Frontend 404 on every content page coming from your plugin
    3. WP permalink setting resave
    4. Done

We really didn’t do anything else in between.

    Greetings,
    -doffine

    Hi @doffine ,

Hope you’re doing good today. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Actually, we’re already aware of this. As per WordPress latest core update, we need to change some permalink structure in our plugin to make it compatible with other Custom Post Types hence you needed to re-save the permalink / re-save BetterDocs settings from the settings page to fix the 404 issue.

We’ve tried to eliminate this issue by re-save the permalink on the update hook , however it was conflicting with other 3rd party plugins.

We’re still researching how we can eliminate this issue completely. If we’re able to do this, I will definitely let you know here don’t worry.

Thank you and have a good day!

    Hi @abidhasan112,

thanks for coming back to us. Ok, great that you are already looking into it and for letting us know as soon as it is fixed.

Until then we’ll simply do the re-save manually after every plugin update.

Thank you for your work and have a good day, too.

    Hi @doffine ,

You don’t need to re-save permalink/save settings after every plugin update actually!
Since you already did, you don’t need to do this from the next update don’t worry. You’re all set!

    Thank you!
