• Hello, I am really hoping someone here can point me in the direction on fixing this problem. One of my client’s sites has been giving 404 errors off and on for the past month, and now I can’t even login. She contacted her host and they said it was the plugins, so they deactivated half of them and it was working much better, but now it’s not even loading at all. Where should I start with this? I don’t know a lot about 404 errors and all that.. I can give any more info thats needed. Thanks!

    The site is https://www.maddymoon.com

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

You also might want to check your cPanel or other hosting error log. Sucuri Site Check reports a 403 error (https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.maddymoon.com) which, if I’m not mistaken, should be logged and might point you in right direction.
