• Of recent, I’m seeing lot of 404 errors especially with respect to the tags, and that too with amp. I’m not sure what is the reason for this issue. Can some one guide me to get rid of this problem.

I’ve already filled up “category” and “tag” in permalinks. This issue is mostly showing only with “amp” version.

    Following are few examples:

    /tag/natural-cures-for-blocked-ears/amp/ (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +https://www.google.com/bot.html)

    /tag/graviola-health-benefits/amp/ (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +https://www.google.com/bot.html)

    /tag/gout-in-foot/amp/ (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +https://www.google.com/bot.html)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It looks like your links are being filtered to alter the default URLs used, except an improper replacement is being used due to faulty coding or plugin conflict. I’m assuming this link filtering is being done by your AMP plugin. I have trouble believing the plugin itself is so badly coded, so some sort of conflict is a likely cause. To help you identify the conflict, install and activate the health-check plugin. Invoke troubleshooting mode. In the troubleshooting admin bar item, reactivate only the AMP plugin. AMP links should appear correctly if there was a conflict. If there is still a problem, there is an issue in the plugin itself and you should seek assistance through the plugin’s support channel.

Assuming there was a conflict, reactivate your theme and plugins one at a time, testing after each. When the links are again corrupted, the last activated module is the cause.

The problem is not all the amp links are shown as 404. Daily around 15-20 links are only shown. Will the same solution you have mentioned above will be helpful.

The procedure I mentioned is not so much a solution as a way to narrow down the cause. When major things go wrong on a site, it’s invariably due to a plugin or theme conflict. Once the problem module is determined, the actual coding conflict still must be determined. The responsibility for that usually falls upon the plugin author, but for poorly supported plugins, you could be on your own.

We’ll still try to help you here, but what we can do might be limited. If we can replicate the problem on our own sites, we can probably help. If it’s something unique to your site that cannot be replicated, what we can do is pretty limited.

Of course the other option is to find an alternative plugin.
