404 Errors Created by Post Archives from the Future

  • Ok, so I use Google Webmaster tools to help manage my site. It’s setup like many WordPress sites, where if you go to: https://www.somesite.com/2012/03/, it shows you the post archive for March 2012.

    However, something weird happened in Webmaster tools. I have, literally, thousands of 404 errors for links like “3111/11/” or “3422/04/.” It’s like Google is trying to read post archives from the future, or something.

    Has anyone else seen this, or had it happen to them?
