404 Errors after upgrade to 6.1

    After upgrading to 6.1 and also installing some plugin updates, I am getting 404 errors.

    At first I could access the home page and I got 404’s only on the individual articles. In this forum I read to try resaving the Permalinks. That initially fixed the problem. However, it came back shortly after and I again saved the Permalinks.

    This worked a couple of times but now I also get 404 on the home page. I can’t access the Admin page so I can’t save the Permalinks. And why do the Permaklnks need resettng all the time?

    I have cleared the caches and my cookies/browsing data.

    Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Let me also add that I have a brain tumor so my troubleshooting ability isn’t great but I’ll try.

    Can you change from Pretty Permalinks to simple links? Are the pages then normally accessible?

    Also talk to the support of your hoster. This could also be a misconfiguration there.
