First, I want to say that Duplicator is probably my favorite WP plugin, and one of the first I install when setting up a new site. Thanks for the great work!

My problem is when I use Duplicator to clone a site from where it is hosted on a GoDaddy shared server to my Linux localhost server. The static front page for the site displays just fine, but whenever I go to any of the other site pages I get a 404 Page Not Found error. I did update the Permalinks when I installed, checked the wp-config file for anything out of the ordinary, checked the .htaccess file, etc. with no effect. This problem occurs with both my Ubuntu 12 and 14 based distros.

To make things more confusing, if I install the Duplicator package in my XAMPP server running under Windows 7, 8.x or 10, it works fine. I even tried using Duplicator to repackage the XAMPP version and then reinstalled it in Linux and it still doesn’t work.

This is not a dead in the water situation, but I do prefer to do all my development of client sites on my local server, so if someone can come up with a solution it would be most appreciated. I would provide a link to the working live site on GoDaddy, but it is a private intranet site for our local Native American tribe so no can do.
