    Hi there,
In my catalog products, I am including a link to a site where the viewer can actually purchase the item. Sometimes these links work and sometimes they result in 404 page not found errors on the target site. An example: https://www.bonjourfete.com/collections/advent-calendars/products/hair-accessories-advent-calendar if you copy and paste this, it will bring you to the correct page; if I put this in the link box on the product page, it will result in a ‘page not found’ error on the bonjourfete.com website. Any clue what is happening here? Thank you!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi mbilotti,

We tested on our end and the link worked, so we had a few follow up questions:

    1) Are you adding the link to the “Product Link” field in the Edit Product page?

    2) As we cannot see your website (as it appears to be local), could you send us the ‘page not found’ URL you receive when you click on a product? (we’d like to check to see if maybe your website is adding something to the product link URL)

Yes, it is in the product link field, and this is the url on the ‘page not found’: https://merimeri.com/products/wn19_unicorn-stamp-advent-calendar If I go up to the address field and hit enter reload the page, the correct page loads. But for some reason when I click on it from my site (which has not been made live: https://www.adventjoy.com so you can see it in action), it does not work.

I also noticed that when I click on the image or the details arrow, it takes me to the product link url as opposed to opening up and showing the details of the product. Is this correct?

    Hi @mbilotti,

My apologies for the late reply. Are you able to share the catalog URL with us? If you want, you can email it to us at [email protected]. We can even continue the conversation there, just make sure to refer to this thread.
