    Hi,

Go to Settings > Permalinks and save again. It will flush the rules and should resolve 404 problem.

Does it show 404 for all user controller endpoints?

Make sure you have activated the controller from Settings > JSON API > User

    Hi,

Yes it shows 404 for all controller endpoints. I also activated it from the settings. I should mention that when executing the request directly in the browser it works fine. It shows error only when i do ajax requests.

Hi! I have this problem too and I just found the (stupid) reason, you need to check if the registration of new users on your wordpress site is active.

Options / General / Anyone can register
