404 error when updating account

    When clicking ‘update account’ on the account page, the user gets a 404 page not found error.

    The account is updated.

    I could add a redirect, but would like them to see an ‘account successfully updated’ message.

    Can you help?

    Could you please check if mod_security is enabled on your server and see if you can whitelist the account page from mod_security?

    I use Siteground, and they do have mod_security as standard, but they don’t recommend whitelisting anything.

    So as a workaround I have just redirected the confirmation page back to the account page, where the user can then see the updates they have made in place.
