I just installed Under Construction, Coming Soon & Maintenance Mode and began applying settings. After I completed that I went to the Customizer to style the page but apparently it does not exist. I get a 404 error on my LiteSpeed server. Was the plugin supposed to have installed an under construction page?

I purged my cache and loaded the site on a second machine and the default Under Construction page is displayed. How do I access it to make edits?

    I am at a loss.

  • Hi @starapple,

Thank you for reaching out to us. You have received 404 error on your LiteSpeed server, because it failed to locate the requested web page. Your session might have ended.

Other than that, you need to know that our plugin is used to display a temporary page or message on a website when it is undergoing maintenance so the visitors can wait for its launch.

Once the under construction page is displayed, you need to log in to your website using the /wp-login.php (default login page) in order to make edits.

Hope this information will help you. On its addition, I am curious to know if you are still receiving 404 on your LiteSpeed server.

    Looking forward!

Thanks for your reply @wpzainab. I am not sure we are talking about the same thing. I was not trying to edit one of my pages. I was trying to customize the pulgin’s page that is shown when the site is being maintained. I was using the Customizer before putting the site in maintenance mode.

When the Customizer opens, the left panel displays but where I assume I should be able to view any changes made, I see a 404 error page. I inserted my own image from the left panel and applied the change but when I click the link to make further changes in the block editor, there is no page to edit.

When I put the site in maintenance mode from the plugin’s set up I do see the page I go to the site as a logged out user.

Anyway, I deactivated the plugin and installed one that gave me more options in controling the text content, although I can’t change their image.
