404 error when selecting media option in buddypress profile

  • Hi,

    I am chasing a problem on our live site and have replicated it on a skeleton WordPress 6.5.3 site. The skeleton site is using the Hello Elementor theme, has 2 active plugins – BuddyPress and rtMedia. The problem is when I click on Media in a user’s BP profile, I get a 404 error.

    Please advise. Thank you!

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please verify that the permalinks are correctly configured. Also, navigate to Settings → Permalinks in the WordPress backend and simply click on “Save” without making any changes. Sometimes, permalink structures are updated but not saved properly. Please confirm if this resolves the issue.

    Hi,

    It appears the issue is with the theme, seems some conflict with the third-party theme (Hello Elementor). Our plugin is fully compatible with WordPress default themes. We will investigate this conflict further.
