First of all, thanks for keeping this plugin running, your work is greatly appreciated here!

I’ve been using this plugin for awhile now and it’s mostly been working good, until I upgraded to WP 4.0, since then, the mqtranslate plugin has not been working correctly. When previewing, saving or publishing a post as well as adding a page, I get the error “Page not found error 404”.

I’ve gone through every plugin that I have installed and the only one causing this problem is mqtranslate, of that I’m sure.

I’ve tried to change the permalink options; tried adding a suggested different .htaccess code because I thought the fault was there. But nothing has worked so far.

I’m using WP 4.0 with the latest version of mqtranslate. My server provider is Namecheap. I’m not very proficient at html, just a beginner.

Any help on your side would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am having the same issue in two different sites.

I migrated from qtranslate and everything was working fine but I beleive it was the WP 4.0 update that something went wrong.

Switching off mqtranslate then I can save the pages or posts, but obvioulsly in one language only

In Permalinks settings I have in “Post Name”

In mqtranslate –> “URL Modification Mode” I have been trying all the different settings but no luck.

I forgot to mention, WP 4.01 and mqtranslate 2.8
I also have removed the plugin, clean all the entries in the MySQL and re-install it again but nothing. Still getting the same error, Page not found.

    Hi!

Have exactly the same problem here!
Can’t publish/save draft anything… unless I switch off the mqtranslate plugin!

Any help will be truly and undoubtedly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Anyone knows an alternative plugin to this one, so that I can have my site running until there are a solution for this problem?

I’m so freaking out around codes and trying things, but I do believe we will find a solution!
    Right?

I tried with a fresh Worpress installation + mqtranslate and the issue is already there. I can give credentials to login if anybody wants to check this.

If you can give me access to your fresh test site, I may find a proper solution to this issue much quicker (as I was not able to reproduce it).

    Thank you so much.

Try to edit and save the first and the only post “Hello world”, and you will get the error.

If you need ftp access, send me an e-mail to [email protected]

chsxf, I hope you got the ftp access info.
Let me know if there is anything that you need me to do.
    Thanks for your support

    Hi,

Have you managed to solve this error? I am getting a 403 error when trying to save any post when mqtranslate is activated.
Would really appreciate it if you can post your solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi DalmaNoemi,
I still got no answer and no solution!

Hi, just wanted to post an update on my mqTranslate problem since I started this thread.

Unfortunately I had to delete the plugin, I was getting no answers and for me it is just not worth it to keep it running, so I took a big step and deleted it. I had to rewrite most of my posts so it was a lot of work but I didn’t want to be dependent on this plugin anymore.

I hope you others that have this problem have better luck than I did because when the plugin is working, it is great. Unfortunately I have had problems with qTranslate and now mqTranslate most every time WordPress got updated and I just don’t want to take that risk anymore.

I realize the plugin is free and I can’t expect much support when something goes wrong, so I’m not trying to downgrade it. If I ever need to add different languages on my blog, I will probably look into a paid plugin that offers support, there is just too much work involved with translating every post to take the risk of loosing content.

    Cheers to all.

I was not able to reproduce the problem until now.
And the problem MorlanXaos encountered does not seem to be related to mqTranslate. So I have no solution yet.
However, if anyone want to send me credentials to test the sites, feel free to contact me at [email protected] and I will try my best to help you.

    Thank you so much.

when I try to save draft or publish… the “404 page not found” appears!
    HELP!

This only happens if the post have a title…
If I left the title field empty, I can save or publish!

    HELP

I have the same problem with WordPress 4.1 and mqTranslate 2.9.1.2.

Like analuciadacruz, I found the same thing. If I left the title field empty, I can save or publish!

    Someone found a solution?

    Thanks
