Hi there, I love this plugin and I want it to work, but for some reason I keep getting a 404 Error when on the search results page when I’m not logged in. Is there some kind of permissions that I need to change to get this to work properly?

Other than that error, the searching and options work really well. Soooo much better than the default search!

    Thanks for any assistance!

    Hi 82concepts!

I can not reproduce this problem, please help me to reproduce it.

At what point do you get the 404 error message exactly, when you click on a specific link on the result page?

Please check that if Google has indexed valid public links of your site as follows:
Go to https://google.com/cse, log in your custom search engine, and try to perform a search.

Please check if the links on Google CSE search result page is valid and public?

I have found an old topic about a problem, when WordPress Preview Page was Indexed by Google:

It is possible that something similar could happen.

We look forward to your response, to solve this question.

    Hi there,

Sorry, I missed your first response! No worries, the site that I was trying it on was hosted through WPEngine and I believe the issue was with their extreme caching, not your plugin. Feel free to keep the topic closed and thank you very much for the in depth response!

    Cheers!

Hello, I am having this exact same error on my site. My site is not being cached. It works on the desktop version I’m logged into, but give the 404 error on the phone version without being logged in. Any update on this issue?

    Hi,

We have not experienced this error yet.
What is your site URL, where we can see this problem?
