• Hi –

I recently replaced Role Scoper with Press Permit Core on my site. I assigned capabilities for each of my user roles and all seemed to work really well – until I came across, what appears to be, a plug-in conflict.

I use many custom post types on my site – some of which are created automatically by third-party plug-ins. PPC was compatible with all of them … except for one (or perhaps with the plugin itself): a premium Wiki plug-in.

To be clear, the custom post type is recognized by PPC and the option to add its capabilities to user roles is available.

However, when PPC is activated, PPC causes the following errors whenever a non-admin tries to access any “edit” (All Wikis) or “post-new” (Add new Wiki) screen related to the Wiki custom post type:

On my live site: It gives me a: 404 Error – Page not found

On my test site on my localhost, it gives me: Fatal error: Maximum function nesting level of ‘100’ reached, aborting! in \wp-content\plugins\press-permit-core\admin\cap-interceptor-admin_pp.php on line 15

PPC doesn’t cause the issue for admin’s. However, when any other role – regardless what level of capability I assign – selects “All Wikis” (edit) or “Add new Wiki” (post) from the admin dashboard… they receive a 404 error- page not found.

The error is not present when PPC is deactivated. I also purged all of PPC’s settings from my database and reactivated a clean copy of the plug-in. Same result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    – Jason
