404 Error – permalinks seem to be incorrect

    Hi,

    I used your multi-language plugin to create a Spanish version of our website. Everything works fine until I reach the third page called “breeding programs” in the menu bar. This and two of the following pages in the menu contain sub-pages. As soon as I try to go to any of the sub-pages, I get an 404 Error and the page jumps back to English.

    On another note, I only have this problem in the US while someone in Europe doesn’t get the 404 Error. He suggested that the problem lies within the permalinks the plugin is writing.

    Hi Anja,

    Please complete the following:

    1) Try to deactivate all plugins and set the standard WordPress theme (Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Fifteen). Check if the problem remains.

    2) If it does, provide us a screenshot of General Settings page (Dashboard > Settings > General), your system status (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wi2X8RdRGXk9kMszQy1xItJrpN0ncXgioH935MaBKtc/edit, you can also make a screenshot), and your “.htaccess” file with its content (if it exists, it is located in your WordPress root folder).
