404 error on wp-admin

    Hi Guys,

    I’m getting 404 error on wp-admin with one of the website I manage.

    https://www.signedsealeddelivered.com.au/wp-admin/

    Website works fine and so as the wp-login.php but after I log into wp-login.php, I’d get 404 as it’s being redirected to wp-admin.

    Tried to disable all plugins, change theme to default, and permission is set to 755 for wp-admin but still persists.

    .htaccess is default as well as the index.

    Any thoughts?

  • Have you made any up gradation ?
    Could you Please check the same by rename the .htaccess file ?

    Tried to disable .htaccess but didn’t work, too.

    Seems like some files are messedup. While checking with the url (https://www.signedsealeddelivered.com.au/wp-content/) found the wp-content/index.php file is messed up with the root index file.

    1) Please upload the default index.php inside the wp-content folder.
    2) Re upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders and root files except (wp-config.php) file. (Use correct wordpress version files that current running)

    Please take a backup of both database and files before make any changes
