404 Error Message In My Post Section

  • Hi don’t know if this is the right area but I recently downloaded the most recent version of word press and now when I go to either create a new post or edit an old one it is giving me a 404 error message.

    Any ideas on how to fix that?

    404 is a page not found. Did you upload the files in the same location as the old ones?

    From the Dashboard. So I would guess it was the same location.

    And after I had downloaded the new version it worked for like a day or so. Then nothing after that.

    Then it probably isn’t your install per say (or rather, not the UPGRADE).

    If you can get into wp-admin, try re-running the upgrade. It’s possible your host may have removed some files, but that’s pretty rare!

    reinstalled the upgrade twice and nothing happened. I’m starting to think html it better then wordpress.

    Do it manually then. Copy the files up via FTP.

    And HTML is easier than WP, certainly, but you can do more easier with WP. It’s more automated.
