    Hi!

We are running a Buddyboss community and have just installed this plugin. And it seems to work fine. But when viewing the 404 Error Log it is full of false 404 errors. When I look at the list it is filled with 404 errors happening during the past minute and none of these are pages that doesn’t exist and you can visit those page without any problem.

When viewing this issue on a staging site without traffic it appears every visit to a profile page is generating an entry in the 404 Error Log even though I didn’t get a 404 page on any of the profiles I was visiting.

This is quite annoying and makes the 404 Error log pretty useless. :/

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,
Can you post one of those “false 404 error” URLs?

I can’t post them. Because to a user not logged in it will appear as a 404 page. I guess that might be the issue. These are all pages that are accessible for members only.

Well in that case it’s a 404 ?? It’s not when you’re logged in but … that’s not always so.

Well I doesn’t show 404 error, but you are redirected to a login page if you are not allowed to visit the url.
    For example this url: https://hemligg.se/medlemmar/love
That is totally legit and works fine. But if you are not logged on you will be redirected to a login page.
But the weird thing here is that if I visit this page when logged on it will appear in your plugin’s 404 Error Log even though it is displayed perfectly fine.
The 404 Error Log is full of profile page urls which were displayed perfectly fine with no errors.

True, that’s not how it’s supposed to be. I’ll try to look into that but unfortunately, Buddyboss is a paid-only plugin so testing is more difficult than with free plugins.

No. Buddyboss platform is free. It is the Buddyboss theme that you pay for.

    Just go to https://www.buddyboss.com/platform/
and click on the button that says “FREE DOWNLOAD” and you’ll will download the plugin Buddyboss platform.

You never were able to find the cause of this issue? We are still having this issue. ??

Sorry, we weren’t able to find a solution so far. We still have the bug marked as unsolved in our tracker so I’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of it.
