404 error handler disabled by other plugins

I like your plugin very much and it does a good job!I wanted to use my own error page for 404 (a question of design…)
First I used “404page – your smart custom 404 error page” and afterwards “404 to 301”.
With both plugins i got the same problem: No more 404 errors in your log and of course no blocking anymore.From the author of 404 page I got this statement:

Thanks for pointing to that. After taking a look at the iThemes Security code I can say that their 404 error logging obviously can not work. The iThemes Security 404 error detection runs after 404page has loaded the page to be displayed as 404 error. Loading the page clears the 404 error, so it’s not possible to detect it. Yet I have no idea how to solve this, but I’ll think about it…
