I’ve disabled all plugins except SEO Ultimate. On that one I disabled everything except 404 monitor. If the 404 errors like those listed above keep occurring then it’s not a plugin issue (I seriously doubt 404 monitor would cause the 404 errors within the theme structure).

I also cleaned up the .htaccess redirects to include only those pages that did at once time exist, but have moved (cf. https://websynthesis.com/fixing-wordpress-404-errors/).

I started receiving a bunch of 404 errors of Google not finding the Google XML sitemap. So re-activated the plugin “Google XML Sitemaps” which I’ve been running for years without problems.

Ok Thanks for sharing those analysis. I would really love to help you more but at this point I really can’t say what’s the problem and how it could be related to the last theme update.
Activating another theme and then reactivating Customizr might be worth a try?

    nikeo,
That’s one of the things I tried to see if it did anything. The default (Twenty Fourteen) theme was activated and let it sit for a bit, then I reactivated the Customizr Child theme. I’m going to see if things change. I’ll try to keep things updated on here as to what I try and find.

I also deactivated most (see above) plugins, then after a while reactivated them.

So far no 404 errors related to the location of parts of the theme.

It’s been about a week and no 404 errors related to the theme structure. ?? Not sure what I did, but it’s working.
