hello, i’m trying the plugin, last version of wordpress and the plugin, new installation of everything. No more plugins activated.

But i’m having this message on the settings page:
“You’ve set up everything correctly here but now WordPress is giving you an 404 (not found) error? Try flushing your permalink settings. Visit Settings -> Permalinks and just save without changing anything.”

and I can’t see any review because of that.

I tried to reinstall everything, including the plugin (download directly from www.remarpro.com) and resaving the permalink settings page.

    No results.

    Any other idea?

    Thank you

    Hello,
may I have a link to the site you are having problems with?

Also, are you getting the option to “Add Review” when you visit the “Reviews” link in the left sidebar in WP admin?

I am having the same issue as @vfenix. I have the error on the setting page “You’ve set up everything correctly here but now WordPress is giving you an 404 (not found) error? Try flushing your permalink settings. Visit Settings -> Permalinks and just save without changing anything.”

I have flushed the permalinks both on the GUI and via the FTP site. I can see the reviews, but i cannot see authors. An example is at https://childrensreadinglist.com/reviews/authors/mem-fox/. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Hello @affinitrix,
That message below the review slug setting is actually just an informational message, its not an actual error. With that said, I will be changing the design of that message to remove the red colour in a patch I will be releasing in a few minutes.

As for that 404 message when you visit an author link, that is a bit strange. Can you populate some of the other taxonomies with some data so that I can see if the error is with other taxonomy items?

I populated the author, genre, and publisher fields and they are all coming back with 404 errors. The review shows up. I also did a new test review and it has the same issues. https://childrensreadinglist.com/reviews/test-review/

Not sure if it is related, but the ISBN number fetch also does not work – it spins, but does not update the fields.

I have looked at the page you’ve linked to and it would seem that theme is doing something strange with the taxonomy archive page. Normally, a taxonomy archive should have a achive class added to the body class. Your theme does not do that.
