I’m not sure when this started happening, as it was just brought to my attention… but the download links are breaking. I get a 404 error. The plugin appears to be pulling the full path from the server and not the path as it would appear to a web browser. Example, instead of going to domain.com/downloads/wish-list.pdf, it is showing up as domain.com/home/domain/public_html/lhbp/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/wish-list.pdf

I have the most recent version of the plugin and of WP. I’ve tried reinstalling. I’ve tried different download templates. No avail. Apologies if this has been addresses before. I’ve looked and didn’t see what I thought might be a solution.

    Any ideas?

  • Hello Andrea,

This seems like an error. To debug can you please follow these steps:

    1. Create a New Download
    2. In the new download upload a new file
    3. Save the page and then share the URL of the download with us. This can be copied from the page just below the shortcode for that download.
    4. Add the shortcode to a test page
    5. Go to Downloads > Settings > Access (tab) and make sure you have selected a page for “No Access” option.

Once this is done, please share with us the link to the download as well as the link to the page where you have placed the shortcode.
