404 error

    Created a new event, and although it shows up on the calendar, when you click the link it returns a 404 error. Sample event is live at LouMongello.com

    Also not sure how to get a thumbnail on the main events page

    Hi Lou,

    here are a few things you can try:

    Go to Edit Event and make sure the Permalink is set up properly. For example, it should say event/social-media-marketing-world-2014-san-diego-lou-mongello/ not something like events/2014-03-26/

    Go to Dashboard => Events => Settings and check your Events URL slug (it should be events) and Single event URL slug (it should be event).

    Also, you may need to flush the rewrite rules. Go to your Dashboard = > Settings => Permalink and just click the Save Changes button.

    Regarding your question how to get a thumbnail on the main events page, go to Edit Event => Feature Image (located on the right panel) and there you can add your image.

    Hmm… just noticed that for some reason the Featured Image box does not show up on the right side. It does not show up as an option under Screen Options
