404 Database connection errors

  • Hi,

    I’ve been getting multiple 404 Database connection errors for the past few days while accessing the website or admin. If I’m lucky, it sometimes opens and I cleared the site’s cache and saved permalinks. I tried many things but nothing seemed to work. The error keeps repeating. Please help me in this!

  • An Error 404 and an error in the database connection are 2 different things. What is the exact error message you see in such cases? Have you already contacted the support of your hoster?

    Hi. Thanks for the response. It’s “error establishing database connection”. yesterday I made some changes in url links and redirect and it seemed to work properly again. today getting error again. I will try contacting Hostgator

    If your WordPress dashboard working then try to deactivate all the plugins. If this not work then contact with your hosting provider.
